Fostering a dog

The work we do with stray dogs:

Since 2021 we have worked with the dog wardens to try to find rescue places for the unclaimed or surrendered dogs but there is a need to do more including the provision of emergency accommodation in kennels.

Rescue Me Animal Sanctuary has a small number of kennels on site for dogs awaiting assessment, movement to another rescue or veterinary treatment. We are a foster based rescue and rely on experienced foster homes to allow our kennels to stay free for emergency cases.

As we are unable to complete full assessments on the dogs whilst they are in kennels and often have no back ground history so we do require that our foster homes are pet free, child free and have experience with dogs.

If you are interested in fostering one of our dogs then please fill out our dog foster enquiry form:

Could fostering be for you?

  • Do you live within an hour drive of our rescue centre?

  • Do you want to help a rescue dog without the commitment of adopting?

  • We will provide everything you need including supplies and support.

  • You will be allowing us to provide a space and save other dogs that are in the pound.
